Is It All Over My Face? - It Is All About The Music!
Ehhhhh? Is this a Disco night ? Well, not quite....
The name IS IT ALL OVER MY FACE is a classic West End disco track from 1980 by Arthur Russell, producer, musician, artist… and now - a two day tribute rave celebrating electronic dance music in all it's forms.
Starting Saturday, 01 August, 14:00 until Sunday, 02 August late into the night, the complete area will be transformed into an unusual celebration location to present music from downtempo to techno to house to disco - a free mix of sounds and textures that do not adhere to anyone's rules of how electronic dance music is supposed to be.
In Berlin there is of course a large selection of suitable locations, but the Rechenzentrum / Funkpark is very special. It has the best of both worlds with its Funkpark Outdoor nature AREA on the river and the INDOOR cube with its full club soundsystem and massive dancefloor - the only rival to Function One's monopoly in Berlin. This place is unequalled in Berlin - perfect for a party inside and outside in high summer.
And now to the music: Among others Len Faki, James Ruskin (UK), Redshape, Sandwell District featuring Regis and Function (NYC/UK), Savas Pascalidis and Whatyes will show why they rank among the most popular international artists and prove how they have made the dancefloors of the world happy. A Guy Called Gerald (UK) will welcome us into his studio with another epic freestyle LIVE session. The outdoor area will bring us the dub to techno spectrum that is Deadbeat Live and an Arthur Russell tribute set by DJ Kaos. To bring the currywurst taste into the fish n chips we mixed up Berlin and London local heroes with Tony Lioni - Live, Sven Dohse, Hof Gutow, Kenny Cee (UK), Alan Sommerville (UK), DJ Mack, Bleed and Janina.

The FUNKPARK is a big, green Open-Air site directly on the river Spree. And it's located on what used to be the location of the East German National Broadcasting Complex on Nalepastr, 10 minutes east from Ostkreuz.
Berlin on the sea and also in the forest. Well, sort of. The full beach feeling package for children of all sizes and ages with giant beach volleyball courts, beach chairs to relax and suntan in, camping area, and a childresn area with trampline and the like.
What outside in the sand is so nice and natural, is inside the Rechenzentrum club a more inferno, sweaty, color filled experience. Besides the powerful sound system all your needs will be satisfied with lots of room to dance and LED installations that will send you to Imaginationland (wherever that is!).

...from Schlesisches Tor on Schlesisches Strasse follow the road and adhere to the left at the division of the street shortly after the arena (Pushkin Allee). At the stoplight at the major junction turn left and cross the bridge (Elsenbröcke). At the big interstection after the bridge turn left (Alt Stralau), under the underpass, and immediately left onto Kynaststr. Follow the road (including the right curve at Ostkreuz). At the next light just continue on following Hauptstr/Köpenicker Chaussee for a few minutes until just before a petrol station on the right side is a sign that reads FUNKPARK! You are here!
Coming from Kreuzberg by car...
...find your way to Ostbanhof. From there follow Holzmarktstr east past Universal and MTV studios. Through the big crossing at Markgrafendamm/Elsenstr and under the underpass and then immediately left onto Kynaststr. Then just follow the road (including the right curve at Ostkreuz, past the next traffic light straight on. Follow Hauptstr/Köpenicker Chaussee for a few minutes and right before the petrol stiaon on the right is the sign for the FUNKPARK! Done!
Coming from Prenzlauer Berg/Friedrichshain by car...
...make your way to Frankfurter Allee. Go straight ahead, past the Frankfurter Allee S/U Bahn Station and take a right on Gürtelstr. At the end of Gürtelstr turn left onto Marktstr. From hier simply follow the street to the end (the T junction of Marktstr/Hauptstr. Turn left and 10 minutes later youll be in front of the petrol station and the entrance to the FUNKPARK. So go in!
